A Biography of Arabella Healy 1854-1878

Caher East, Kenmare, Co. Kerry Ireland

Arabella Healy was the fourth child born to Maytor Healy and Nellie Donovan.  She was born in the Kenmare valley of County Kerry Ireland on May 19, 1854.   Living in Caher about half a mile from Kilgarvan.   Her father was working in the Caher East Copper mine.  She was named after her maternal grandmother, Arabella McCarthy and like her grandmother she will be called Belle or Belinda.   Belle had three older siblings, Mary age . , Patrick , and Julia

Belle Healy was buried in lot 471 in the old St. Joseph Cemetery in Hancock Michigan. 
Her grave is now located under the parking lot of the current church - Church of the Resurrection, 900 Quincy Street, Hancock, Michigan 49930. [3]
