This is a birdseye view of Hancock Michigan about 1880.
You can see the Franklin Mine up on the hill.  Notice the typical homes.  Many are probably owned by the Quincy Mine Company and provided for the mine workers. 
You can see the German Catholic Church on the right middle of the photograph.
