Nellie Donovan was baptized Ellena Donovan to Daniel and Arabella Donovan in Mangerton, Parish Kilgarvan, Co. Kerry Ireland, in the summertime on the 19th of June 1923. From the baptism records, I have found she appears to be the old child and daughter.
Once again, Ireland's 1841 and 1851 census records are very difficult to find and/or have been destroyed. I have found partial census records by searching specific counties for local city libraries or government websites in Ireland. Each city or town is not funded by the Irish government so these websites are not well maintained. When I have found these records they are indexes and not a photograph of the actual record.
The Catholic Church parish baptism and marriage records are kept by the individual parishes. Most have not been photographed or indexed. And not available to the general public. Co. Kerry does not appear to yet be online.
Some commercial websites have obtained partial Catholic baptism and marriage records for some parishes and counties in Ireland. These records are searchable through their database but each website's searchability is different and subject to the indexer's interpretation of the handwritten records which makes accuracy difficult.
